Modern and oldfashioned medallion quilts in progress

This quilt makes my mood bright! It is so fun to make, almost no accurate seams or cutting (which can be tricky enough:).

It's not too late to join the Facebook sew along.

Eventually, my broken arm has healed, so I can do some knitting...

Då er det tid for litt handarbeid igjen, etter ei lang og ufrivillig pause pga. gipsa hand.

Eg er overmåte begeistra for medaljongane eg held på med (kviltar der ein startar frå sentrum og arbeider seg utover). Det er ei ny erfaring å sy "wonky", og det er verkeleg morosamt. Det er ikkje for seint å melde seg på sy-alongen på fjesboka.

Så er eg såvidt begynt på klutane då... Det er ikkje sommar utan småstrikk i bomullsgarn.

Farmer's Wife

I have a soft spot for American history, and the book The Farmer's Wife I bought a long time ago. I even have made some blocks. However, I prefer rotary cutting, not the hundred or so templates on the cd.

Then I happened to find Karen Walker's blog. She has converted the blocks into modern rotary cutting, and that's the reason why I now have restarted. It is so inspiring! And this time I go for 30th repro fabric, bright and cheerful. I will tell more about this history in another blog post.

Listening to this very good novel while sewing, that's nice!

Det har blitt litt blokk-sying denne veka og. Eg er med på nokre månads-alongar, der eg syr større blokker i moderne stoff. Dette er verkeleg moro. Har du ikkje prøvd å sy Flying Geese på denne måten før, må du prøve, det er genialt.
