"Experiment and enjoy" has been my mantra in the sewing room this year!
Next season has to be "Simplify and enjoy", I guess, or "Get better organized in your head and in your studio". Anyway, I have learned a great deal by searching the internet, buying on line classes, reading books and magazines.
Elisabeth is one Norwegian blogger who inspires me a lot. Her toiltry bags and make up purses are so nice. Go and have a look at her blog!
She has also helped me with tips on sewing three of these purses/bags. Thank you!
I guess "everybody" is familiar with Rannveig's coin purses, if not, have a look at her blog as well. She has a nice tutorial on these purses, and also how to do the zippers. Thank you!
I simply love those generous and inspiring blogs around, with hints and tutorials. I'm not good at that myself, but I do try to link to my inspiration sources. That's at least something, don't you think?
On one blog I found this wonderful fabric, and I had to have it! It was not easy. But finally, on Etsy's "overrainbow" I found it. It's City Flats Cotton Fabric, from Britains Best by Maria Kalinowski and Benartex.
Some very handy equipment!
The mother and her daughter...
Always coming back, both in November and during the year. This summer I put them outside in the shadow, giving them good showers and forgetting them. And they liked it!
Have a nice Advent. Don't stress, don't spend all your money on "must haves". Trust in yourself. Be modest and happy, and love your family!
